Sudan Port Airport: Nine people, including four military personnel, were killed when a civilian aircraft crashed at Port Sudan airport on Sunday (July 23). The Sudanese army issued a statement giving information about the accident. The army told that a girl’s life was saved in the accident. The Sudanese army informed that Antonov was flying before the plane crashed and it developed a fault, after which the plane became a victim of the accident.

Fighting between the armed forces and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has been going on in Sudan since April 15 this year. Since then Port Sudan has become an exit point for expatriates, members of diplomatic missions and some Sudanese citizens fleeing the North African country.
