CJI DY Chandrachud On AI Chat GPT And Technology Use In Courts

CJI DY Chandrachud News: Regarding the increasing use of technology, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud said that today software like Artificial Intelligence and Chat GPT have made life easier. Today these software are being used from making jokes to coding and even writing legal subjects. He said this about the use of technology and social media at the 60th convocation of IIT Madras.

He said, “Today Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a word that is on everyone’s lips. Through this, it has helped in increasing the capacity of computer software and hardware. Along with this, the use of chat GPT software has also increased. From making jokes to coding and writing legal topics, its use is being seen.”

CJI said, also pay attention to how technology can help in human development
He also informed that AI is being used on a pilot basis for live streaming of proceedings in the Supreme Court as well. The CJI said that when we are moving towards the future, we should see how science and technology can help in human development. During this, he also warned about the use of technology for wrong purposes and said that fear should not be created in the minds of people by misusing it, otherwise people will not be able to express their views openly.

Also warned for misuse of technology
He said that technology should be able to prevent misuse of social media and AI for quick and instant communication as human values ​​and privacy are very important. He said that with the development of technology, incidents of online threats, abuse and harassment are also coming to the fore and it is also clear that technology can be used for harmful purposes.
