Bengaluru News: A sensational case of misbehavior of a Rapido driver with a woman has come to light in Bengaluru. It is alleged that the Rapido driver masturbated in front of the woman during the ride itself. Not only this, even after getting down, he did not stop following the woman. The Bangalore Police arrested the accused driver on Saturday (July 22).

The woman had shared her ordeal on Twitter and told how she was subjected to sexual harassment after using Rapidi bike taxi. The woman told that this incident happened with her on Friday (July 21).

Was involved in protests against Manipur violence

Giving information about the incident in a tweet, the woman said that she had gone to participate in a demonstration at the town hall in support of the victims of Manipur violence. After the performance, he booked a Rapido bike taxi to go to Electronic City. When the rider reached to pick up the woman, he had brought another bike instead of the one registered in the Rapido app.

The woman further said, during the journey, we reached a deserted area, where there was no other vehicle. Shockingly, the driver started riding the bike with one hand and started masturbating while riding the bike. The woman told that during this entire incident she remained silent at the back due to fear of her safety.

Message started on personal number

The woman asked the driver to drop her 200 meters before the house, so that he would not know the location, but this did not reduce the problems of the woman. After the ride was over, she started getting calls from the driver and messages on WhatsApp. After which the woman blocked his number. He has also shared the screenshot of the driver’s WhatsApp message.

Tagging the Rapido, the woman asked what is done for the background verification of the driver. Are you sure the people registered with your service can be trusted while traveling? He (the driver) is still calling me from different numbers. Taking cognizance of the woman’s tweet, the police have arrested the accused driver, reports India Today
