What did Abhishek Banerjee say?
TMC General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Friday issued an order regarding his party workers. Abhishek asked from an open forum that all TMC workers and leaders should assemble in large numbers and gherao the houses of BJP leaders in 341 blocks of the state on August 5. From 10 am to 6 pm, except the elders living in the houses of BJP leaders, neither let any other member go out of their house nor allow anyone to enter the house.
State CM Mamta Banerjee herself was surprised by his unexpected statement and at the same time she made a slight change in the decision from the same platform and said that you should surround the house of BJP leaders from a distance of 100 meters.
What did Subhendu Adhikari say?
On the other hand, BJP State President and Leader of Opposition Subhendu Adhikari said that while challenging the TMC workers to the workers, they said that if they gheraoed the houses of the BJP leaders, they would not allow the TMC MPs to enter the Parliament. He said, listen Abhishek, I am going to the court with a copy of the FIR against you, the fundamental rights of the people have been attacked in this program, even the CPM has never done this in its 33 years of rule.
