Mukesh was the voice of Raj Kapoor
Born on 22 July 1923 in Delhi, Mukesh started his singing career in 1944. He made his identity not only in the country but also abroad by singing many memorable songs. Mukesh sang most of the songs for Raj Kapoor. After Mukesh’s death, Raj Kapoor had said in an interview that after his death it felt as if he had lost his voice. Mukesh had 5 children. His son Nitin was also a singer. Nitin’s son Neil Nitin Mukesh has tried his hand as an actor in Bollywood.
